Growing Teddy Bear sunflowers isn't hard and all you have to do is make sure that your plant will be receiving full sunlight up to 6 hours per day. Once established your sunflowers will be tough against droughts.
How do you harvest Teddy Bear sunflower seeds? Like all sunflowers, your Teddy Bear variety will start producing seeds three months after planting out. Teddy Bear seeds are small, dark grey to black and need to be harvested as soon as they are ripe.
How tall do Teddy Bear sunflowers grow? Your Teddy Bear sunflower plant can grow 2 to 3 feet tall, producing golden blossoms that can grow to about 6 inches.
Do Teddy Bear sunflowers come back every year? No. Teddy Bear sunflowers are an annual sunflower that won't come back every year. You can leave the seeds for the birds or harvest left over seeds to plant out again next year.
